Solo Noi Ristorante in San Lorenzo de El Escorial

"We stumbled upon Solo Noi after an amazing tour at El Escorial (they currently do English tours every Wednesday at noon). We happened to be the only 2 on the tour and got a very intimate and info-packed tour. Then a quick walk to Solo Noi for lunch and the meal was incredible. We had an amazing salad with “queso de cabra crujiente” by and caramelized onions, greens, apricot and roasted nuts (almonds?), mouth-watering ravioli agnello (eggplant and lamb), and a lovely pizza with grilled vegetables. Mauro was such a lovely host and we learned that he learned to cook from his parents and all his menu were family recipes. 100% recommend this place!"

"El local no aporta nada pero resulta cómodo. Estuvimos dentro no puedo opinar de la terraza. La pasta que tomamos estaba muy rica se nota que es fresca. La pinsa (masa gruesa y de forma rectangular) demasiado sabrosa, pensamos que estaba demasiado salada pero de sabor rico. El café espresso muy rico, de vez en cuando se agradece café bien hecho y de calidad. Recomiendo tomar pasta fresca mucho mas acertada en precio y calidad. Las bebidas son caras comparando con otros restaurantes de la zona."

"Ambiente genial para estar cenando y manteniendo una conversación, la decoración es muy moderna tanto en el interior como en su terraza totalmente climatizada. La atención fue buenísima, nunca en un restaurante había vivido la experiencia de que tras cada plato viniera el chef a preguntarte qué te había parecido y tú pudieras hablar con él con total claridad. Pedimos una ensalada con queso de cabra almendrado, unos panzerotti, sorprendida con la masa entre dulce y salada, y terminamos con una espectacular pizza Solo Noi. Buenísimo todo, muy recomendable"

"A really wonderful little restaurant and an amazing host. A big thank you to Mauro for an incredible lunch time experience . Although he is not on the main circuit please please go and visit . It really is worth it . A very warm greeting as we walked in . We had the tomato and mozzarella to start and you could taste the freshness in the produce . For my main dish i ordered the truffle and mushroom tagliatelle and believe me when I say I could have eaten it twice , if was so good . My wife had the carbonara which was equally as good . You can see how important it was to Mauro that we enjoyed his food , because he not only puts great ingredientes but his passión for great food and customer satisfaction is so important . Really great to see as so many restaurants these days lose that touch . My parents had the pizza and that will be on my list for next time we return . All I can say is this place really deserves to succeed and I hope he is there for many years and keeping the same ethics in a kitchen . Bravo Mauro ."

"The best pesto I've had in years! This Italian restaurant is the best place to have dinner. It's not the cheapest but prices are fair and definitely worth it! Also, the staff were very nice and friendly. If I have to ask for something is to add some bread to the meals to make it perfect."
